Asylum Trends

Every month, the IND draws up a report on asylum applications in the Netherlands and Europe: the Asylum Trends (AT).

In May 2022, the influx of asylum seekers (the total number of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 3,369. This is a decrease compared to the previous month: in April, it was 3,232.

 

In April 2022, the influx of asylum seekers (the total number of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 3,230. This is a decrease compared to the preceding month: in March, it was 4,202.

 

In March 2022, the total influx of asylum seekers (the total of first and repeated asylum applications and relatives) amounted to 4,202. This is an increase as compared to the previous month: it was 2,518 in February.

 

In February 2022, the total influx of asylum seekers, i.e., the sum of first and repeated applications for asylum and dependents, was 2,520. The aforementioned is a drop relative to the preceding months, namely 2,727 in January.

 

In January 2022, the total influx of asylum seekers, i.e., the sum of first and repeated applications for asylum and dependents, was 2,720. The preceding is a drop relative to the two preceding months, namely 3,751 in December and 4,578 in November.

 

In December 2021, the total influx of asylum seekers, i.e. the sum of first and repeated applications for asylum and dependents,  was 3,751. The aforesaid is a drop relative to the two preceding months, namely  4,578 in November and 5,269 in October.

 

In November, the influx of asylum seekers, comprising the total of first and repeat applications for asylum and family reunifications, was 4,584. The number was only higher in the previous two months of this year, namely in September 5,085 and October 5,271.

 

In October, the asylum influx increased again . The total asylum influx (the total number of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 5,279. This is a rise compared to the previous month. In September, the total asylum influx was 5,084.

 

In September the asylum influx increased again. The total asylum influx (the total number of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 5,089. This is a rise compared to the previous month. In July, the total asylum influx was 3,724.

 

In August the asylum influx increased again. The total asylum influx (the total number of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 3,732. This is a rise compared to the previous month. In July, the total asylum influx was 3,337.

 

In July the asylum influx as a whole increased again. The total asylum influx (the total of first and repeat applications and family reunifications) was 3,347. This is a considerable rise compared to the previous month. In June, the total asylum influx was 2,470.

 

In June, the influx of asylum seekers, comprising first and repeat applications for asylum and family reunifications, was 2,468. This is an increase compared to the previous month. In June the total influx of asylum seekers was 1,914.

 

In May, the influx of asylum seekers, comprising first and repeat applications for asylum and family reunifications, was 1,920, similar to the previous month. In April, the total influx of asylum seekers was 1,927.

In March, the total influx of asylum seekers was 1,834. The largest increase is again to be found in the group of family members arriving for reunification.

In February, the total asylum influx (the total of first and repeat asylum applications and the entering family reunifications) was 1,364. This is a slight increase compared to January (1,349). The largest increase can be found in the group of family members arriving for reunification.

 

In January, the total influx of asylum seekers (the total of first and repeat asylum applications and repeat asylum applications as well as family reunifications) was 1,346. This is a decrease compared to December 2020 (1,899).

 

The total influx of asylum seekers (the total of first and repeat asylum applications and repeat asylum applications as well as family reunifications) in 2020 was 19,132. This is a decrease from the previous two years. By comparison, the total asylum influx in 2019 was 29,435, in 2019 it was 30,380.
