You have paid for your application. There is now a waiting period. This can be a long and tense time. The IND will assess your application. The acknowledgment of receipt states when you will receive a decision on your application. This is the decision period. Has the decision period expired and you have not yet received an answer to your application? Then please contact the IND.
Letter requesting additional information
Sometimes you receive a letter asking for more information. Perhaps you forgot to include some documents. Or more information is needed for your application. Read the letter carefully. Do you have questions about the letter? Then call the IND staff member who is handling your application. You can find their telephone number in the letter.
Send the requested documents to the IND on time. Or upload the documents in My IND under 'Applications'. The letter states the date by which you must send or upload the requested documents. If you cannot, immediately contact the staff member who is handling your application.
The IND cannot assess your application until you have provided the requested documents. The decision period will therefore be longer. The new decision period is stated in the letter.
