Waiting for decision on your objection in the Netherlands
Has your application for a regular, temporary or permanent residence permit been rejected? Or has your application to become a long-term EU resident been rejected? The decision says whether you may wait for the decision on your objection in the Netherlands. A decision is an official letter from the IND with the decision on your application.
Are you allowed to wait for the decision in the Netherlands?
Then you can receive a residence endorsement sticker from the IND. A residence endorsement sticker is a sticker in your passport. The sticker is proof that you are allowed to wait for your process in the Netherlands. Make an appointment at the IND desk for a residence endorsement sticker.
What if you are not allowed to wait for the decision in the Netherlands?
This means that you have to leave the Netherlands. Do you want to wait for the decision in the Netherlands? Then you can apply to court for a provisional ruling. You must do this within 24 hours after you have received the decision from the IND. Go to the website of the Judicial System Netherlands (in Dutch: de Rechtspraak) for information about the application for a provisional ruling (only in Dutch).

- Which decision you are objecting to.
- Why you object.

You must do this within 24 hours after you have received the decision from the IND. Go to the website of the Judicial System Netherlands (de Rechtspraak) for more information about an application for a temporary residence permit (only in Dutch).
