A valid passport or ID-card (issued by an EU/EEA Member State or Switzerland) shows that you have lawful stay and that you are allowed to work.
If your family member has a different nationality, you have to be registered at the IND with the form 'Registration for EU-citizens (proof of entitlement to residency status)'. Or you need to have a valid residence document.
To live and work in the Netherlands, your family member must apply for a residence document based on EU law.
The application form lists the documents that you have to enclose with the application.
You have to have official foreign documents legalised and translated into Dutch, English, French or German.
Are you planning to stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months? You have to register in the Municipal Personal Records Database (BRP) in the municipality where you are going to live.
To register with the municipality you need a legalised and translated birth certificate. Take this with you when you travel to the Netherlands.
Anyone living in the Netherlands must take out health insurance. You do this within 4 months following your arrival in the Netherlands.
Do you rely on a (additional) benefit from public funds? Do you, for example, receive social welfare benefits? The IND may then end your lawful residence. This does not apply if you have permanent residence.

Have you lived in the Netherlands for an uninterrupted period of 5 years? You may then apply for a residence document for permanent residence. Are you a family member of an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen? And you have a different nationality? You may then also apply for a residence document for permanent residence.
If you have lawfully lived in the Netherlands for period of 5 years you may apply for Dutch citizenship.
A TWV is a work permit. The employer applies for a TWV with UWV (Netherlands Employees Insurance Agency). UWV examines among other things if there is no employee with the Dutch, EU/EEA or Swiss nationality that is qualified for the job.
