Annelore Roelofs leaving the IND

Acting managing director Annelore Roelofs is leaving the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). As of 28 March, she will be managing director of Waternet, a public organisation that provides drinking water to 450,000 households in Amsterdam and its vicinity, among other things.

Roelofs took up her position as deputy managing director in May 2020, to work on the asylum innovation programme and to lead the Penalties Task Force. After the departure of former managing director Aly van Berckel, she acted as managing director from April 2021 until February this year.
