Ukraine: examples proof of residency in the Netherlands

Sticker as proof of residency

There are 3 different stickers as proof of residency in the Netherlands:

Sticker Regeling ontheemden Oekraïne: new version

The IND issues this sticker since 13 February 2024. You have this sticker if you have the Ukrainian nationality.

Sticker Regeling ontheemden Oekraïne: old version

The IND has issued this sticker until the beginning of May 2024. You have this sticker if you have the Ukrainian nationality. This sticker is valid in combination with the extension letter for Ukrainians

Sticker Verblijfsaantekeningen algemeen

You have this sticker if you do not have the Ukrainian nationality (third-country national). And your right to stay is temporarily extended.

Card as proof of residency

Sometimes you (also) have a card as proof of residency in the Netherlands. There are 2 types of cards:

Type O Document

With this card you show that you are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive. For an example of this card, check our page Foreign Nationals Identity Document (model 2014).

Type W document

With this card you show that you are in the asylum procedure. For an example of this card, check our page Foreign Nationals Identity Document (model 2014).
