- Via the link, go to the appointment planner ‘Collect residence document Study’.
- At 'Select a Desk', choose 'IND Utrecht Student permit’ and your colour: red, yellow, green or blue.
- You will also use your colour for the correct entrance in the Beatrix Building.

- Are there no more available slots for an appointment? Then make an appointment for the second Student Day on 27 September.
- Do not make an appointment if you did not receive a notification.
Arriving on time
Make sure you arrive on time for your appointment. On time means within 15 minutes before the appointment. Do not arrive too early, as this may cause long queues.
What to bring to the Student Days
- Your appointment code. You will find this code in the email confirmation of your appointment. You can show the code digitally.
- Your passport. If you do not bring your passport, the IND can not give you your residence document.
Sometimes a biometrics appointment is also required
To issue a residence document, the IND needs biometric data. This includes: a passport photo, fingerprints, and a signature. It is possible that the IND does not yet have your complete biometric data. Your educational institution will inform you about this. You will then need to make an appointment to provide your biometric data.
When to make a biometrics appointment
Do you want to collect your residence document on Saturday 30 August, but have you not provided your biometrics yet? Then make that appointment first. You can do this up to and including Wednesday 27 August. Wait 24 hours after making the appointment, and then make the appointment to collect your residence document. We need 1–2 days to prepare the residence document.
Making a biometrics appointment
- In the notification of your educational institution, you will find a link to the online appointment planner ‘Biometric information (Study)’.
- Via the link, go to the appointment planner.
- At 'Select a desk', choose an IND location or expat centre. It does not matter which location you choose. You can also go to the Utrecht International Center.
- Choose a day and time.
- Are there no more available slots for an appointment ? Check the page from time to time, as new slots become available in the schedule.
- Do not make an appointment if you did not receive a notification.
What to bring to your biometrics appointment
- Your appointment code. You will find this code in the email confirmation of your appointment. You can show the code digitally.
- Your passport. If you do not bring your passport, the IND cannot take your biometrics.
