Making an appointment online

Would you like to visit an IND desk? This is possible by appointment only. This way, you know exactly when it is your turn and there is no waiting time.

  • Biometric information (passport photo, fingerprints and signature)
For your residence document the IND will take your passport photo and fingerprints. We also need you to provide a signature. For this, you can schedule an appointment online at an IND desk of your choice.

  • Collecting your residence document or original document
The IND will inform you (or your sponsor) when your residence document or your original document (e.g. your passport or birth certificate) is ready for collection. You can schedule an appointment online.

  • Residence endorsement sticker
A residence endorsement sticker is placed in your passport. This sticker is proof that you are allowed  to await your procedure in the Netherlands. It also states if you are allowed to work. You can schedule an appointment by phone to collect a residence endorsement sticker.
Please note: this does not yet apply to appointments relating to an application for verification against EU law. This is an application for a family member of an EU/EEA citizen or Swiss citizen, or for a parent of a minor Dutch child. Does this apply to you? Then you cannot make an appointment yet. If this is possible again, you can read it here.

  • Return visa
Do you want to travel abroad when you temporarily do not have a valid residence permit? Then sometimes a return visa is needed to return to the Netherlands. You can schedule an appointment by phone to apply for a return visa.
Please note: this does not yet apply to appointments relating to an application for verification against EU law. This is an application for a family member of an EU/EEA citizen or Swiss citizen, or for a parent of a minor Dutch child. Does this apply to you? Then you cannot make an appointment yet. • DNA test
You applied for family reunification and have to demonstrate by means of documents that a family relationship exists. If these documents are not sufficient or missing through no fault of your own, the IND can send you a letter in which a DNA test is being offered.
Unfortunately, it is not possible at the moment to schedule an appointment (online or by phone) for a DNA-test. As soon as this will be possible again, you will read about it here.
