​In June 2018, the residence permit for ‘voortgezet verblijf na verblijf op grond van speciale regeling 2007’ will expire for foreign nationals who fell under the pardon scheme (Regulation for the Settlement of the Legacy of the Former Aliens Act RANOV). On this page you will read what to do.

Your residence permit voortgezet verblijf na verblijf op grond van speciale regeling 2007’ will expire soon. You should apply for a new permit. You might be able to apply for a permanent regular residence permit. Do you not meet the conditions for a permanent regular residence permit? You can extend your current permit.

Permanent regular residence permit

Did you obtain the civic integration diploma or are you exempted? Please, apply for a permanent regular residence permit.

The state examination diploma Dutch as a second language I or II (NT2) or the diploma secondary vocational education level 1 (MBO level 1 does not exempt you from the civic integration examination.

Permanent residence permit with the status long-term resident EU

Did you obtain the civic integration diploma or are you exempted and do you have sufficient, independent and long-term income? Please apply for a permanent residence permit with that status long-term resident EU.

How do I apply for a permanent residence permit?

You can submit the application permanent residence permit (with or without the status long-term resident EU) online. For the online application you need:

  • DigiD with SMS-code
  • Your civic integration diploma (a scan or photo) or the proof that your are exempted
  • iDEAL (internet banking) to pay for your application

Do you not have DigiD yet? Apply for DigiD on www.digid.nl. Do you have DigiD, but not yet the SMS control function? Activitate SMS control via your MijnDigiD.

Costs

The application for a permanent regular residence permit (with or without the status long-term resident EU) costs € 161.
Turkish nationals pay € 51.

How do I apply for extension?

You can submit the application online. For the online application you need:

Please submit the application from 3 months before your current permit expires.

Costs

The application for extension costs € 355.

A new fee of € 355 applies to all applications for extension submitted on or after 3 May 2018. Did you apply for an extension before 3 May 2018 and pay € 401? The IND will automatically refund the difference of € 46 after 15 June 2018. You do not have to do anything for this. 

Persons with the Turkish nationality pay € 51.

Your application should be registered at the IND. Please wait until you have received a letter with the confirmation that the IND has received your application.

Collect your residence document

Has your application been approved? And have you received a letter from the IND Desk to collect your residence document? Please make an appointment online to collect your residence document.

When making the appointment, please, choose the IND Desk that is mentioned in the invitation letter. Your residence document is send to this IND Desk. You can, therefore, only collect your residence document at this IND Desk.
