Interpreting and translating for the IND

The Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) devotes itself every day to people who come to the Netherlands from all over the world. We do that by paying close attention to every application we receive. From asylum seeker to family member. From highly skilled migrant to student. We are also there for people who want to become a Dutch national. Your efforts as an interpreter or translator are vital to this. Extend your horizons and make a meaningful contribution.

Do you want to work for the IND as an interpreter or translator? If so, feel free to sign up. How to do that depends on your listing in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (in Dutch: Register beëdigde tolken en vertalers or Rbtv).

Are you already listed in the Rbtv?

And do you work as an interpreter and/or translator through Acolad, Elan, Global Talk and/or SIGV Coöperatie? If so, fill in the IND intake form and send it enclosing your recent CV and passport photo to tolkvertaalzaken@ind.nl.

Are you not yet listed in the Rbtv?

In that case, you will first need to sign up with one of the interpretation and translation service providers we work with:

Acolad: resources@acolad.com
Elan: Contact | ELAN Languages
Global Talk: Application Form For Interpreters
SIGV: Contact - SIGV Coöperatie

Once you have registered with one or all of these interpreting and translation service providers, fill in the IND intake form and send it enclosing your recent CV and passport photo to tolkvertaalzaken@ind.nl

Suitability certificate (in Dutch: Inpasbaarheidsverklaring or IPV)

Once you have successfully completed the introductory interview you will be issued with a suitability certificate. This confirms that you are employable for our processes.
