Residence document asylum model 2026
A valid residence permit is required to stay in the Netherlands for a longer period of time. From 12 June 2026, this residence document model 2026 is in circulation. This is a permit for people who have been granted asylum in the Netherlands.
Residence document asylum
The back of this residence permit, under ‘Remarks’, states the reason asylum was granted. This may be for one of the following reasons: asylum as a refugee, subsidiary protection, or as a family member.
Employment rights
People with this permit are allowed to work in the Netherlands. It means that no work permit (in Dutch: tewerkstellingsvergunning or TWV) is required.
