Monthly figures on pending asylum applications (before the Migration Pact)

This graph shows the pending asylum applications that were submitted prior to the introduction of the migration pact and are still awaiting an initial decision. These applications are being processed in accordance with the action plan (only available in Dutch) sent to the House of Representatives early June 2026. At that time, there were approximately 54,000 pending asylum applications. The graph illustrates the progress of processing these applications and the number that remain pending.
