The total number of first asylum applications in October amounted to 2.234, a minor decrease compared to September (2.256). Notable is the decrease in the amount of Albanian people that applied for asylum for the first time (66 in October compared to 199 in September).
The number of repeated asylum applications in October amounted to 328. That is an increase compared to the previous month (398).
The number of family members that came to live with asylum status holders was equal to the number in September. More than three-quarters of them (78%) came from Eritrea and Syria.
