The number of repeated asylum applications was 112. In December, this was 136. The top 5 countries of origin of asylum seekers who submitted a repeated asylum application are Iraq (16), Afghanistan (15), Iran, Morocco and Somalia (9), Algeria and Nigeria (5), and Uganda (less than 5).
The number of entering family members joining the asylum seekers has decreased compared to December and amounted to 362. In December, this was 547. Most of the family members joining the asylum seekers came from Syria (176), Yemen (65), Turkey (36), Eritrea and Iran (both 15), and Pakistan (13).
The number of asylum applications submitted by unaccompanied minor aliens (UMAs) decreased compared to December and amounted to 110. In December, there were 165. The top 5 countries of origin of UMAs are Syria (44), Eritrea and Morocco (17), Algeria (11), Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Sudan and Iraq (less than 5), and the others 7.
