Term application Dutch citizenship after an offence from four to five years

As of 1 May 2018 the rehabilitation term is extended from four to five years.

This means that when you want to become a Dutch citizen you cannot be convicted for an offence in the five years before the application. This used to be four years. The change applies to both requests for naturalization and for option.
