General director of the IND drs. R.J.T. (Rob) van Lint will become inspector general at the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority.
The cabinet has consented to a nomination proposed by Ronald Plasterk, minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Van Lint will take up his position on 1 July 2017.
Rob van Lint has been general director of the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service at the Ministry of Security and Justice since 2009. He played an important role in, among others, the introduction of the new information system INDiGO, developments in provision of electronic services, and far reaching collaboration with among others the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) and the Repatriation and Departure Service (DT&V).
